Manchester United set to swoop on Benfica Defender

Manchester United could be set to make the first move from Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay in the summer as its reported Chelsea have now taken an interest in the player.
According to Portuguese daily O Jogo, Garay has long been a target for Sir Alex Ferguson’s squad but now the player is on the wanted list of Chelsea. United have been scouting Garay all season and were going to make a summer swoop for the player but now Chelsea’s interest could complicate the situation.
Chelsea already have contacts within Benfica from their purchase of David Luiz in 2011.
Ezequiel Garay is 26 years old and his contract at the Estadio da Luz runs out in 2015.
