Newly-promoted English Premier League side Cardiff City are reportedly interested in entering the race to sign Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis, who only has a year left on his current contract with the Ligue-1 runners up.
It is believed Cardiff have opened talks with Lyon, and with their Malaysian owner Vincent Tan reportedly handing over a £35m transfer kitty, Gomis would be easily attainable.
Gomis has also been targeted by Chelsea and Bayern Leverkusen recently, and scored an impressive 16 goals in 35 games for Lyon this seaason.
Gomis has said he will look at his situation at the end of the season, but is not ruling out extending his contract at the Stade Gerland.
